Favorite New Restaurant

Just when you thought West Hartford Center couldn't get any more sophisticated, along comes Crush Wine Bar - an elegant European-inspired concept that opened in October at 37 LaSalle Road. From the team behind Union Kitchen, Crush offers more than 400 wines alongside thoughtfully crafted small plates from renowned chef Tim East. What sets Crush apart is its commitment to making wine approachable—you can enjoy a quality glass of table wine for just $8, whether it's prosecco, pinot grigio, or chilled red. The space itself is a masterpiece, with distinct areas including a "Mad Men"-style lounge, French bistro bar, and two private rooms called the "French Room" and "Grand Cru Room." I’m there at least once a week. Don’t miss “Vin Nature: A Wine Festival with Vino Crudo” on 7/27 to taste 45+ natural wines by Somm Vish and a special Mexican Street Food throwdown with Chef Tim. Did I mention they have outdoor seating? Perfect for sunsets as they fade over the horizon.
